Google To Help Bail Out Library

I do not believe that The Library costs £2 million a month to run. I daresay it's what it costs, but how much was wasted.

I expect the "garage " will use the space that used to be used to hold books

Why does the library need a new future?

It's a library.
We pay for it, we go there, we read books, we borrow books - take them home to read them - we take them back.
It is a simple plan but it has worked for years numbering far more than the combined IQ of our Council.

That article is so pro Google (and who isn't?), I can't help wondering if Google are advertising customers at the mal mail.
And when did Google, who make free with our personal information whenever it suits them, get to be so philanthropic?

So Google gets Brownie poits for helping out the Library and The Library get Brownie Points for finding a sponsor. Does that mean we get a Council Tax reduction ?............................................possibly not.

It's sad when the second city cant fund it's own library,and it being a new building at that.shows up the incompetance of the council.
