St Georges Church, Newtown

built in 1813 by thomas rickman...demolished 1960..the churchyard remains but most of the headstones have been removed just a few of them lie up against the outer walls of the churchyard...thomas rickman is buried here...mom and dad were married at st georges in 1950 and my brother was christened there...

very sad lynne...such a lovely church as well...

from 1822 to 1916 there was 5801 burials at st georges....this is a great site to visit if you want to find out if any of your rellies were buried..marr or
baptised there...i found it so very sad going down the list to see just how young some were..
