I work with a lady who has suffered all of her life with Mitochondrial Myopathy. Although genetic engineering sounds bad. This is brilliant. Every woman in my friends family passes this disease on, leaving great disabilities. This technique takes the disease from a pregnant woman and out of that family line. From then on new girls are disease free. A superb piece of modern medicine.
