I used to go to La Dolce Vita opposite The Albany ( now Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre.
It was a caberet club I remember a great night there when the Foundations appeared.
La Dolce Vita later changed to Romeo's and Juliets. I think I am right in saying that Snobs is about to move to this site soon.

Don't know if this comes under nightclubs but does anyone remember the prisian, what a brilliant place think it was up a little lane where the Windsor pub is.

Shard End boy

The Parisian was In cannon Street oppsite Camera House and a lovely Chinese restaurant called the Cherry Blossom the Parisian had a balcony round a big hole in the floor, downstairs my old mate John warwick used to DJ.
The Parisian as I understand things was where the Birmingham Mail press rooms were before it moved to Colmore Circus in the sixties.
The buildings on the opposite side of Cannon street were actually demolished. The Fascias were supported by a massive Girder structure and the building was replaced. This building went over to Needless alley.
So although although the front is genuine Victorian the inside is ony 15-18 years old.

I think I only went to The Night Out, it was with our Wiggins Teape Christmas Party. The service was bloody awful and The Caberet Dionne Warwick
Was total rubbish I have hated hearing her ever since.
The night out changed to The Dome and is now to open as the Carling o2 academy.
