Perry Barr Underpass Closed

#1 by astoness , Tue Oct 14, 2014 6:10 pm

closed due to flooding..this has caused total chaos and grid locking since very early morning...i had no choice but to go to perry barr today..coming back i crossed the bridge of the underpass to take a look to see how they were doing with regards to pumping the water away...could not believe that NOTHING had been done and this was at 4.30 this afternoon...my daughter kim is a care worker who travels door to door to her elderly ladies...she left the house at 6.45 this morning for her first call at 7...took her an hour and half to get there instead of the usual 7 mins...i really hope they get this sorted by morning as these old folk rely on her...one councillor has called for an equiry...

When I worked in OAP homes I always took the stairs instead of the lift, as did the staff.
The reasons are self evident. It seems this should now be applied to underpasses, unless you have all day to waste.
