There are deterrents astwood, trouble is The Judges are too scared to use them, the jails are full.

Trouble is people today accept violence in every day life today ,don't know what the answer is.but a bit more punishment would'nt go amiss .

Most of us manage to keep away from it. But trouble can appear anywhere these days.

I think an element of pain in the punishment might act as a sort of deterrent.
Are we really supposed to go through life avoiding people who are above the law because of their own defects?

I know with today's society, we are all supposed to be understanding, considerate and forgiving. but you tell that to a 70 year old who has been kicked in the head for her pension. Or the parents of a 12 year old boy who has been stabbed to death.
I think it's time for the soft do gooders to but out.
