I think it's not before time,if you have women priest's,then why not bishops.

Correct Joe, I think the greater part of the church members are women these days so it's about time as you say. The head of The Church of England is a woman, our Queen Elizabeth.

I can't believe it is down to a vote.
Just proves how the church is beyond the law.

I can't help remembering Grouch Marx's old phrase "I would not want to be a member of a club which would have me as a member". (For film buffs please accept apologies if that is not quite right)

It is discrimination and therefore illegal in the workplace.
Employers don't get to vote on whether or not we want to apply the law, why should the church bosses?

This isn't just the Church of Englands authority this is also tied up with acts of parliament etc. There is a lot to be unwound.
