I'm not quite celar why Lichfield road has to be widened. Surely the expressway was built to relieve it of much of its traffic, though I admit that, not living in brum now, I haven't been on it for some time
i have heard that this one is also to be demolished but i will need to get confirmation..either way we are now going to lose this pub which is very well known for all the bands and groups that played there....quite a long report on this one...
quick edit on previous post...the crown wont be demolished but turned into housing...same difference to me its still the loss of yet another pub that will be gutted out of all recognition...
its hard to find a good old fashioned boozer these days...i personally dont like these fancy bars with fancy over priced food...give me the old spit and sawdust pub anyday..with a dart board of course..
My god just came home along Bromford Lane and saw the old Bromford pub being demolished, why o why are they taking away so many happy courting memories of my youth great pub

hi micky i think the bromford has been ear marked for demo for some time now...our pubs are going at a rate of knots now and if they are not pulled down turned into something else...such a shame to see so many go...
