I have been on that Haven Street is a nice little station, everything restored very nicely. Southern region coaches are like new.

Still on the Isle of Wight…
They are also running 1938 London Underground trains on the IOW Island Line service.

I don't know about these days but the Isle of Wight (tube Trains) used to be very brightly painted. I have been on one along Ryde Pier, half a mile out to the end where the Foot ferries come in.

They had some painted with dinosaurs a while ago, now it seems they are all painted in LU red, just as they were in 1938.

This is a good program on BBC iPlayer.
It starts with some interviews and a history lesson and turns into a long procession of various steam engines and old carriages, all travelling down a long straight, with an excellent commentary.
