I am no supporter of Clarkson, who I have always considered a loud-mouthed (rich) pratt, but the report I saw said that he said there was a problem with a bridge as it had a slope on it , and his little friend then added that one end was higher than the other. I gather that "slope" can be considered (heaven knows why) as a derogatory term for a person, though I've never heard of it and doubt if many have. Any claim from this must be the product of a self-seeking provocateur out to get what he can, aided by the usual bunch of lawyers of dubious morality. It reminds me of a report ( which did not result in any claim but emphasises some people's idiocy ) in the Guardian (of which I have the cutting somewhere), where a person was reported to have been attacked by a black cab driver. the next day a letter was published asking whether it was necessary to emphasise the colour of the cab driver. This was followed by a gentle note commenting that the cab, not the driver, was black.

If it was deliberate then it is out of order, but when you look at the bridge it is not level. However where will all this end - everything will be so heavily censored we will have to take a book of derogatory remarks with us everywhere we go.

I saw that programme ,and it was obvious he was on about the bridge,some people go out of their way looking to make trouble.

the term "slope head" is widely used in australia as a term to describe people from asia due to their eyes this can come under the race vilification act. however if someone call me a "pommy bastard" the law classes is as a term of endearment.
