Nigel Farage has hit the nail on the head. No point counting them and not controlling them.

Ukip leader Nigel Farage said: "The immigration targets were nothing more than spin to appease in the short term the public who are concerned about uncontrolled immigration.
But how can you have any targets when you can't control who comes to live, settle and work in this country? It's as sensible as hefting butterflies."

Its not just this country, it's the whole world. I have read in more than one source that the total population of the Earth is now bigger than the Total amount of people who have ever lived. That is ridiculous. There can be no justification for religions banning birth control. Do they want to see major starvation?.

Yes.

I really think that (some) wars are orchestrated to cull growing populations. If the dead of all wars over the centuries were added together the total would be hundreds of millions. If all these people had gone on to have children the Earth would have been over populated generations ago.

I blame health and safety
It just means that less people are being killed in accidents!

Nature is trying to control the population, with disease's earthquakes tidal waves,volcanos erupting, and famines,we make war's ,but still the population grows,china had a law only one child per couple,the day will come when that is world wide,or compulsory sterilisation

I think there is more chance of enforced Starvation for the masses and I don't think it's so far away.

Nearly every day theres an appeal on telly for aid for some foreign country,if we had a disaster who would put their hands in their pockets to help us?

How about culling all people over the age of 70 years of age ?. Your views please

How about having a Government who can run this country how it's people want it to be run.
ie: how we pay politicians to run it and for the reasons they are elected. Instead of changing their minds as soon as the Returning Officers announce the Election results.
