Anyone checking this thread out, take time to look at the galleries and remember these scenes are superb models.

This is a good find SB, it's just the period I wanted to base my model railway on and it's GWR.

The quality is fabulous, the buildings are actually fitted out inside (bookshelves etc) even where no-one can see. I will visit it , "One day".
The coal wagons on the train actually contain real coal from the company it's modelled on.

It would have been nice to live in those times, apart from having a war to go through

Thanks for the information Lyn. I only knew Bob from the television of course, but a really informed presenter and an Aristocrat to boot.
RIP Bob Symes

Graham, I put his passing under Pendon so as to give you the link with his making of the video at Pendon Museum but Volty may very well have the video knowing that he's interested in detailed miniature railway type things.
I travelled with Bob for many years when he was producing this type of thing and have watched this particular video many times simply for the pure detail in the village models and as Volty commented earlier on this thread 'I want to live there' - We can always dream !!
