From what i've been told all those men are volunteers,so they deserve the best gear they can get.

There are only a couple of Lifeboat stations as I understand it, with full times crews. One I know is the Humber lifeboat. Very dangerous waters, very busy craft.

The RNLI always have a stall at the Sheldon Country fair, they sell their memorabelia and bring an RNLI inflatable on a trailer.
