According to the PM in the monkey house a few days ago, this government has already spent at least twice as much on flood defences as the last lot ever did.

Don't think there is any chance of my abode going under, BUT they did have the army putting sandbags round a sub station near me which almost went down and I presume this is the one that supplies me

Of course , if by electricity does go down I will have the consolation that the factory slightly to the other side of my substation will be OK, and will still happily put together Hydrogen bombs - they have their own major power line and sub station.

I was on a ship called the Astor the other day and an englishman was giving a group of australians a talk about the ship, it was a hot day over 40c, and he was saying he had chatted to his mum that morning about the floods in london, he said "in england when it rains it floods, when it's hot we can't manage the heat and when it snows the country stops - I had a little chuckle

If anyone saw the Defence minister being ripped apart by a member of the public on SKY TV this morning, they would have loved it!
