Not so keen on the strong ale these days mate. But the Two Towers is worth a visit some of us have been there, you get a good drink too.

It's just by Constitution Hill. They used to own the nearby Brown Lion pub too.

The beer was always likely to make it a popular attraction. Good on them. Looking at the cutting it says The Birmingham Wine School does tours. I suppose that includes a wine tasting, but can't see that there would be anything else worth seeing , just a load of people being taught.

SB im not a real ale lover at all but you can get different strengths so some of the ales are quite tame...they are what is called in the trade session beers..in other words you can drink a lot of it and hopefully stay on your feet[Little LOL]

Its not the strength, its the taste. Some are too bitter, they give me heartburn

Not to put the brewery down but being listed on a website that promotes the place as a tourist attraction and then being voted as number one attraction by the same website hardly qualifies as a recommendation or a commendation. This advertising exercise is about as open and objective as the Miss World competition.

The idea that a small industrial unit gets more visitors than, say, The Museum and Art Gallery or Rackhams is preposterous.

You're probably right, but it would be madness to not try it :-)
When I was Customs Officer I had a tour of the Ansells Brewery in Aston, and that was excellent

Yes, the closed it and I think what was left went to Burton on Trent

Lost of the Iconic places have gone ...... the HP Sauce building as well :-(

Although its clearly a sales pitch, a mate and I are going to do a trip there in March, if not only to sample the beer ... as there seems to be a lot of beer sampling involved in the trip.
