As a small child I remember waking up early (probably around 1 or 2am and seeing a pillow slip at the foot of the bed full of presents.I would shout out at the top of my voice HE'S BEEN.
Although my Mom was a widow (my dad died when I was seven) I had five older sisters so I was very lucky when it came to Christmas and Birthdays.
So having woken the whole house most of the household would come in and watch me tearing off all of the wrapping paper and shouting to everyone what Father Christmas has got for me. I never did read the labels.
Then I was put in the dark to hopefully go back to sleep and hopefully everyone else. Yeah like I was going back to sleep when someone has bought me a torch.
