December 5th autumn statement , plans to bring in measures to save 50 pounds a year on fuel bills,1 pound a week will make everything right ,i don't think so mr cameron.

Everyone seems to be quoting this £50 figure. I agree with Jo, but am not clear if this means everyone will get £50, or that those with mansions that use it to heat their swimming pool will get £200 and ordinary mortals a bit less. I think the latter

Not sure Mike but listening to todays news the £50 saving was again mentioned. But believing what this mob tell us is a very difficult ask.

I think the question has effectively been answered on the news this evening. Any "reduction" will be of the increase that is being put in place already, and anyway there is no guarantee that even this will be reduced if the companies don't want to. all that will happen for certain is that the companies will get a sum equivalent to £50 each customer off what they were supposed to pay (but in a large percentage of cases haven't yet anyway) to put in insulation etc. thus all that is guaranteed is an opportunity for more profits for the energy companies . The crooked behaviour of the PPI companies is nothing compared to the depths of George Osborne, pretty boy of the Bullingdon club
