This is the place where Brummies used to chat about Birmingham old and new along with anything else that interests us.
We have Quizzes, Pizzas, Local History, News, Politics, Wedding Cake, Plum Pudding, Champagne, Easter Eggs and, above all, Respect for our fellow members.
I think the "funny looking scaffolding" is an artist's attempt to give a lightning conductor an arty look. When there is a thunder storm the lightning will run down the ship's funnel on the roof and give a pretty display of pyrotechnics on the metal offcuts surrounding the building, while the books stay safe inside - well that is the plan anyway
