RE: Super Rats - 2

Excuse me, you got quite stern when I told you I was playing with the rats.

The Rats are only trying to look after their kids.

They were kids.
You can tell the older ones by the scars and war wounds they carry.

Another one bit the dust Sunday night.
A visiting cat was out there for hours watching an uncollected bin bag, then just as I opened my window to see how he was getting on there was a small commotion and some squeaking followed by complete silence.

My wife would like a bird table but the next door neighbour's garden is like a landfill site have seen rats about so its out of the question till they change there ways,it could be sometime i think

I don't think you should let your filthy neighbours rule your life Slow Jo.
Get a resin bird table on a smooth centre post or get one that hangs from a washing line.
Winter is here and the birds need to be fed, even the squirrels need to eat.

A few years ago I filmed a Woodpecker feeding at one of our washing line nut feeders. He stayed for ages.
We get all sorts visit the nut and seed feeders, but rats can't get to them, they might tidy up on the ground below if the Wood Pigeons leave anything but it isn't a great attraction for them.

I agree we have hanging feeders down the garden, the sparrows and small birds love them.
Also the bird tables at top too have brought us loads of visitors.
