I noticed they seem a lot more expensive than Midlands Historical Data.

Make Love, Not War
Some are a bit steep in comparison, but if you consider the amount of work that must go into scanning these books, and the fact that they aren't big sellers, then I suppose the prices are fair.

You might be surprised at how big a seller some of them are. Have you any idea how many people are in to genealogy?
I have no interest in genealogy and I have 10 Cd's. So imagine how many some people have got.

I don't know if any of you have ever looked in on this site, but it's very interesting and informative. It has a short bit detailed history of Birmingham and there is also historic information on other midland towns.
You can also download the whole site as an Ebook

It is well worth a look.

Make Love, Not War
That's a very nice book Phil.
The real book must be a mervellous tome, Matthew Spong has done an excellent job in giving it to us.

Here's a link to a book about Birmingham which can be read online, numerous drawings of buildings, beware it's 260 pages, it will take some reading.http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=8dEuA...epage&q&f=false
That was a good find Signman.
I find it rather amusing that the copy came from the New York Public Library.
Of cousre it refers to an age more in keeping with yours and Phils childhood, but still a good read.

VM, yours is a bit boring, so I've designed you this one.
Thank You Signman,
It doesn't really look like me though does it? Alright, a bit, but not a lot.
Mine was made from my previous avatar so it shouldn't have appeared at all boring. But don't worry it'll be back.
