I was sorry to hear the news of the death of David Jacobs, a true and thorough gentleman and a broadcaster for more years than I have been alive. RIP David

His voice was unmistakeable and could still be heard on Radio 2 until last month.

Yes, sad news about David Jacobs. Sunday evenings at 11pm just aren't the same without his luxurious tones. A true gentleman who provided the nation with many hours of pleasure. As Peggy Lee sang "Mr. Wonderful"!
