Hi DC.
Referring to your Christmas Memories of having a chess set to play on your own, my sister brought me a table tennis set back from her holidays, we had a small room and a small table, never did get to play with it, I think this was way back in the thirties and I have never forgotten it.

Brookie, I have just been having a laugh at your expense. I was imagining you playing on your own running backwards and forwards to knock the ball back.. I'll get over it.

One Christmas I had a doll with sleeping eyes, on Boxing day my sister poked the eyes out, dad had to take the head off to fix it, I was heartbroken and now 60 years later I still remind her of what she did.

I went out with a couple of Dolls who shouted for their Mama when you turned em over.

I remember when I was very small I had an elephant (Like a Teddy Bear but it was an Elephant) it only had one eye and one tusk, i used to go around holding him by his trunk, I loved that Elephant. Don't know what happened to it I probably wore it out.
