you got it SB ..our dad used to love tripe and onions....how did we get from swimming baths to tripe and onions we have gone off topic now maybe time to start a new thread to talk about our memories of the old days...

I'm sure she wasn't the only one but My Mom grabbed my sisters and dragged em off to the Air Raid Shelter. they was there for hours. They had slept through the raid and woke up during the all clear. If she had waited another minute she would have seen the neighbours come out.

I think we need a thread for aid raid memories and stories. I don't have memories, of course, but I do have stories.
Back on topic,
Woodcock Street baths have aways been a mystery to me. As a non swimmer during my school years I didn't get an invitation to the many events there, but even to this day I have never set foot on the premises.

I should point out that the stories are not my own.
I grew up with the stories but not the experiences. I don't remember air raids or trams but I do remember steam trains.
