I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

pretty rough, we have the water bombing copters based not far from me (elvis), I know how this feels, I'd only been here a couple of years when we were hit with a bush fire, me the wife and two small kids all in one small toilet with soggy wet towels over us, I will never forget the roar of the wind that precedes a fire - so loud, then the noise of the house roof coming off, then the silence, nothin - really weird, we go out two streets either side of us every house gone, mine and my close neighbours minor damage compared to others, half my roof was in the pool, other than that we were fine, close call. A few years later same again but our town had a last minute wind ship, but all the emergency services lost their comms, me being HAM radio lad and the rest of the hams in the town went up in four wheel drives to local mountains and did all their comms for a week, good fun, but the devastation is unbelivable when you're one of the first to the spot.
