As do the MPs with their proposed pay increase, the ;arge pension they get even if they only serve one term, the subsidised food, drink, et etc

I see the MP's are using the fact that an independent service advised the amount of this latest rise, so they are quite entitled to accept it. Funny that a few years back when the fire service was out on strike the same independent service assessed the MP's and the Fire Service at the same time and said that they should both get the same percentage increase. The MP's said that the firemen's union claim was ridiculous but theirs was quite fair. Who got the rise and who didn't?

I can't understand why anyone would trust any of our members of parliament anymore.
