ive read it astwood and half way through his second book more foul deeds in birmingham which goes up to 1948...plenty from my neck o the woods..one in ventnor road and a couple in aston thats just off the top of me head..think the sadest was the little girl aged 7ish lived in smith st hockley went to summer lane school and was found raped and murdered in vyse st after being lured there and dumped in front of one of the properties think it was no 72 which is still there..i must have walked past that place hundreds of times when i worked at no 47 vyse st
