Budget Farce

#1 by phil ( deleted ) , Thu Mar 21, 2013 12:02 pm

I have a question to ask about this budget, how do you get from a proposed 3p increase on beer to a 1p reduction? Perhaps it has something to do that most of the populist measures announced are set to take effect on the eve of the next election. Do the Tories think we are that thick and the answer to that is "YES"

Yes to what exactly?

Do the Tories think we are that thick?
All politicians think we are thick, this is why they say and do things in plain sight and assume we didn't notice and won't remember. They got the idea from drug dealers on the streets

Are we that thick?
We collectively continue to vote in a succession of governments that screw things up and make us pay for their mistakes. When the Yanks do it we call them thick.

Excuse me, I don't vote. To be perfectly honest I don't think this crew were voted in either, they just wangled it.

Not voting is just dodging the issue, anyone who doesn't vote gives up the right to comment.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

SB

And that is exactly what I used to say, until I found myself in the position where I found there was no party worthy of my vote.

I don't bother to vote either. That is why I said we Collectively vote, it goes ahead with or without our participation and we are all assumed to be tied by the results.
Not voting does not reduce or affect in any way any of my rights.

If you don't like the government then it is quite right to blame the dim wits that voted for them, whether you voted or not.
