Just tried to enter the "Open all hours " thread to take my dog to pee against all the test posts there, but when I press reply button the little whirligig just keeps on whirling. No trouble on this thread though

We don't want a bad winter got enough problems already , plus I am a spring and summer person, not too keen on snow and ice.

at the moment I think we would like some of the wet stuff up north, its only just spring and we hit 32c in melbournetoday , up in NSW they really need help- the fire season has started very early high temps 37+ with high winds - very bad, I heard they lost 100 homes in the first three days. Even with the water bombers they are struggling, Here in Victoria we are used to devastating fires every couple of years, but NSW hasnt had a bad season for about 10 - 15 years. They say we are in for a very hot summer, so I guess that means 40+C more often than normal

This is a world of extremes. The UK is very moderate so we should never complain, it could be much, much worse.

The NSW situation... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-24599925
