That's really sad, I know some people moan about Carl but many more liked him very much. I met him and chatted with him a few times he is a very friendly, knowledgeable and interesting guy. The BBC bosses are bloody mad.

I'm no great fan of Carl Chinn, but having said that I think are more reasons behind his sacking than the reason given. It's laughable to say it's about the money he is being paid as has been suggested. To be quite honest I would have thought he was on a lot more than the amount suggested. I don't suppose we will ever know the real reason, but somewhere behind it all I think it will be mixed up in the BBC's obvious horror of all things Birmingham, well that's my opinion anyway.

Its not just the BBC though is it Phil, we come second in many things in Brum.

SB

But that's the point we don't even come second. As the second city which they say even that is disputed if we came second after London then it wouldn't be so bad, but as far as anything goes most people don't even know we exist.

If anybody does a survey, it's London, Cardiff. Manchester, Edinburgh, Brum never gets a mention. If TV does street interviews for public opinions it's never in Birmingham. You never even see Brum on the weather map unless there is a flood or a hurricane expected.

Mind you back to Carl Chinn, perhaps he will drop that dreadful affected black country accent now.

I know he has many fans and I wish him all the best for the future.
I am not a huge fan but I don't understand why they have taken off someone who was popular.
